Should one expect this game to be played more like StarCraft or Kane's Wrath or something like Universe at war?

This game is most likely going to be like a combo of SupCom (Why did I say that, I mean UAW) and Starcraft.
Here are the features that take on each type of game:

C&C =
Units can move and fire at the same time (Some of them can't though)
You can construct walls and use them as building block for structure/unit preservation
Resource collection is like Red Alert 3/Starcraft/idunno
Units are easy to die

Starcraft =
Drone-based harvesting
High-ground vision requirement and concealment in forests/vegetation
Resource can deplete (I think)
Pop cap
Units are easy to die
No workers, just a single HQ

SupCom =
You can cycle continuous production of a particular unit
You can produce walls
You are given the additional economic indicator of +/- catalyst next to total resources available in stash

UAW =
Unit production/Tech structure similarity
All three factions are going to be vastly different (Although Human/Beta are somewhat similar ~ just like Novus/Masari)

Looked kinda boring, but yeah, can't expect too much from a vid like this.
Not a big fan of walls either... even in ra3 on infi isle you can just wall spam the only entrance for a free tech up to tier 3.

At least this game has potential. Graphics and game play do not look awful

Whilst walls make players camp,
It appears in GG that there is a Mirror-Unit between factions that serve the same purposes.

This makes the game a little more like Supreme Commander.
Even though each faction will specialise more in something, like say stronger air or stronger ground units, in GG the battlefield is pretty much equalised as (Faction A has Unit A that performs the same function as Faction B with Unit B).

This makes the player choose:
If my opponent goes for a camp-tactic, Do I...
1. Go Air (Overcome Wall problem)
2. Go Spam (Outspam him)
3. Go Artillary (Bombard and wait for him to come to my camp door himself)

From the way Grey Goo plays out with the gameplay previews, it would seem that every moment is not a moment to waste. Its fast paced, unlike starcraft 2 which is slower.
In addition, we already see how long it takes to build walls in GG, a rough 15seconds (or more, I can't really remember). This means you either have to spam walls wayy earlier to prevent enemy advances, or you have to go for some other tactic.
